Do Mirrors Lie
She sat quietly in the shadows, surrounded by the music and memories that had shaped her life. The old mirror beside her reflected the worn walls perfectly—the cracks, the scars, every imperfect detail.
Yet when she looked at herself, she wondered why a mirror could never seem to show the woman she felt herself becoming.
Maybe mirrors don’t lie. Maybe they simply reflect what is there, while hiding everything that matters most—the dreams, the battles, the memories, and the strength carried quietly inside.
She gave her reflection a small smile.
“You know what I look like,” she whispered, “but you don’t know who I am.”
